COPPER TRIANGLE

Located on the North West shoulder, the Yorke Peninsula's three main towns of Kadina, Moonta and Wallaroo are grouped together in a district known as the Copper Triangle. With copper discovered in 1861 this region has a history of copper mines and Cornish miners thus the name " Copper Triangle" but now is primarily a farming region.

Every two years the Copper Triangle hosts the worlds largest Cornish Festival the "Kernewek Lowender" which attracts vistors from all over Australia and the world. Events are held in each of the three towns with Cornish pasties and the famous "Swanky" in abundance over the festival.

Kadina is the largest town on the peninsula, the hub for business, Moonta with great beaches and fishing and Wallaroo has the Marina.

KADINA

148km North of Adelaide, Kadina is the chief commercial centre for the region with all the major banks and excellent shopping facilities. It is also rich in pastoral producing grain and other agricultural products.
